WVCTSI streamlines service delivery and tracking with iLab service request tool

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute has launched an innovative new service request tool; the iLab Core Management System. This new tool will allow WVCTSI members to access services faster while facilitating more effective and efficient service delivery and tracking.

iLab is a digital centralized system that creates a quick and user-friendly way to access all services offered by WVCTSI. Services that can be requested via iLab include: biostatistical and epidemiological consulting, West Virginia Practice-Based Research Network support, clinical trial support, study design, pilot grant submission, education and professional development assistance, and much more. Quarterly project update requests will now also be sent to all WVCTSI supported investigators and students via iLab.

“The most exciting thing about this new system is that it will streamline service delivery across WVCTSI programs and will capture and communicate investigator and project information in a way that ensures investigators do not overlook critical steps that could delay their research progress,” said Julie Lockman, Ph.D., director of investigator development with WVCTSI. “It will enable the entire service delivery process at WVCTSI to be as quick and efficient as possible.”

WVCTSI members at West Virginia University can access iLab using their WVU credentials. Members of the West Virginia Practice-Based Research Network and WVCTSI partner sites can find detailed registration instructions on the WVCTSI service request webpage.

General iLab inquiries can be directed to Emily Morgan at emorgan4@hsc.wvu.edu or 304-293-6610. Additionally, users can also contact each core team through the “Contact Us” tab on individual core pages within iLab.
