The Clinical Research Education, Mentoring, and Career Development Program of the WVCTSI provides a continuum of educational programs that supports investigators to be educated, trained, and mentored in clinical and translational research. This Core will help to address health disparities in West Virginia by utilizing and adapting existing educational infrastructure and making use of the outstanding, state-wide, rural health network that has been developed; these will be utilized in a manner that focuses on health problems relevant to our population and that enhances our knowledge about the etiology, treatment, and prevention of these conditions.
