Clinical Trials Toolkit Series: Epic Research Module: Billing Compliance, Efficiency, Metrics

The WVCTSI Clinical Trials Center of Excellence (COE) is hosting their Clinical Trials Toolkit Fall 2021 Series.

Their next presentation will focus on the Epic Research Module: Billing Compliance, Efficiency, Metrics on Friday, Sept. 24 from noon to 1 p.m. in person or via remote connection.

Kathy Elswick, Assoc. Systems Analyst--HB IT/Research IT, WVU Medicine, Summersville Regional Medical Center Campus and Mark Maceiko, RN, BSN, Systems Analyst-Orders/Results & Research, I.T. Informatics, Information Technology, WVU Medicine will be presenting.

The presentation will demonstrate how the Epic Research Module can help improve billing compliance, study conduct efficiency, and provide metric information to research teams. The advantages of using the Epic Research Module, a recently implemented integration of Research Study Participants with Epic functionality across different applications, will be detailed. A live demonstration of Clinical and Billing functionality and application to the Research Clinical Coordinator and Principal Investigator’s workflow and future improvements with Phase II Implementation and Interface between CTMS and Epic.
