Data Science with Protected Data Workshop

WVCTSI and WVU Research Computing will host a special workshop on Data Science with Protected Data Using the New WVCTSI Secured Cluster. Aldo Romero, Director of Research Computing, Eberly Distinguished Professor of Physics and Astronomy with the Dept. of Physics and Astronomy, and Guillermo Avendaño-Franco, Ph.D., Research Computing Software Developer with WVU Research Computing will cover the following objectives:

  • Introductory Workshop on the usage of this cluster
  • Demonstration of how to access the web portal for the cluster
  • Use of data processing tools from numerical computing environments

This event will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, December 9  with lunch provided for those attending in person at the WVU Health Sciences Center. Attendees have the option to attend in person or remotely via Zoom. During the workshop, you are welcome to bring your own computer if you want to follow along. Continuing education credits will be provided to physicians, nurses, and dentistry. Any questions can be directed to Debbie Lee at debbie.lee@hsc.wvu.edu. Register here.
