WVCTSI Master Class: Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

WVCTSI will host a special two-day Master Class on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for public health health, clinical, and policy research. During day one of this event, attendees will hear from a nationwide group of experts presenting their research and ideas that will give attendees the opportunity to see how broadly these methodologies can be applied. Day one will conclude with a networking event where participants can share ideas and discuss priority areas.

Day two will be a workshop covering basic map making and use of cluster and drive time analyses. Attendees will also create their own GIS powered web-based applications that will be usable on nearly all smart devices.

This event will take place from 12 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7 and from 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8. Attendees have the option to attend in person or remotely via Zoom. Any questions can be directed to Kerri Rogers at kag0012@hsc.wvu.edu.
