Epidemiology & Biostatistics
The Clinical Research Design, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics core provides services to clinical and translational researchers throughout the state of West Virginia. CRDEB offers researchers a central means to receive support from a comprehensive group of scientists with extensive biostatistical and epidemiologic expertise. CRDEB core scientists enhance clinical and translational research by utilizing existing methods and developing new methods in statistical data analysis and research design.
Biomedical Informatics Resources:
The Biomedical Informatics Resources team within the CRDEB Core provides clinical data from the WVU Medicine system for researchers interested in retrospective analyses, as well as support for storing and managing data from current projects. Through the Biomedical Informatics team, researchers can access the Integrated Data Repository, WVCTSI’s WVU Medicine clinical database; TriNetX, a powerful web-based tool for cohort identification and retrospective analysis; and REDCap, a secure survey and database tool.
CRDEB provides support at every stage of the research process, from study design and sample size calculations to data management and analysis. A full list of services provided by CRDEB is available here.
